SolidWorks requires the licence to be activated before it can be used. The activation process is quite simple and straight forward. Please follow the steps blow to activate your licence first. If you wish to take the licence off your computer so you can use it on another computer then please follow the deactivation process.
1. Double click on your SolidWorks icon to open SolidWorks
2. You’ll be presented with this screen – you want to select “I want to activate my SOLIDWORKS product now” option, however, if you have the 30 days grace period option, you can use this for the next 30 days.
3. Select the products you want to activate (you can also click “Select All”). Also make sure you select “Automatically over the internet (recommended)” so activation can occur quickly and easily over the internet. Then click Next
4. You’ll see a status update regarding communication with activation servers
5. Then you’ll be greeted with an activation/reactivation succeeded
6. You’re all done and ready to use SOLIDWORKS

4. You’ll see a status update regarding communication with activation servers
5. Then you’ll be greeted with an activation/reactivation succeeded
